MSA biannual Homeless drive
Every semester, the MSA at San Francisco State organizes a Homeless Drive to do a small part in helping homeless members of the local community by handing out kits with useful items like clothing, food and water, and first aid supplies. The project has three main elements: fundraising to build the kits, assembling the kits with MSA members and the larger SFSU community, and handing out the kits to the homeless or anyone in need.
How to get involved:
1. Donate to the GoFundMe to help buy supplies for the kits. Monetary donations are preferred over supply donations because we can maximize on the amount of supplies by buying in bulk!
2. Help us assemble the kits on campus. Look out for when and where this will happen on the calendar and social media! 3. Participate in distributing kits, help transport people to the distribution location, and spend time with our homeless brothers and sisters during distribution. The next distribution will be on May 3, 2019 after Jummuah. |
